BillK's Mailbox Roadster

"The color is what I call mailbox blue.  Its the closest I could get to the color that mailboxes are around here".

Bill says, "59L block, 3 5/16 + .020 X 4 1/8. I think its about 288 inches. 3 97's with progressive linkage. Early Cyclone intake. Offy heads. Isky 1007B cam. Hollow adjustable lifters. Chevy 1.6-1.5 stainless valves. Mild port on intake and exhaust. Straighten out exhaust port exits. Mild smoothing on the factory 59L relief. PCV valve tapped into the front oil pan vent. Aluminum oil pan. Homemade headers. Crab distributor with one set of points controling an MSD 6A box. 12 volt generator. $ 8.00 ebay glasspacks".

This is a sweet project...classic flattie-powered hot rod. You can tell that a master has been at work here. A lot of hours goes into that kind of detail.
Clean as a whistle, ain't it? The turtle deck is on it's way from the painter... Well detailed, beautifully smoothed body... looks good enough to eat, huh?

This roadster is a testament to one man's dedication to detail. Fine cabinetmakers fashion their pieces of art in the same way. One thing at a time; nothing is ignored. Definitly glossy hot rod magazine material. I'm loving the hood ornament...
