1959 Chevrolet 4x4...

Nice, solid old '58 truck. Seen better days, but haven't we all?
Most guys would say, 'Gee I don't know...lotta work.' The old girl's coming apart at the seams.
This kinda stuff is just too overwhelming for the average bodyman...
Looks like a shotgun blast,
Makin' some headway, tho...
Buff up the bones and stick a 3-foot lift kit in 'er...Bigger is better. He's using a late '70's Chevrolet 4x4 frame and rolling stock for this build.

Looks like the foundation is ready for some sheet metal. By the way, you might notice that a lot of the work is taking place at RT's Rod Shop at 747 Center Street West, Kalispell, MT, 59901. 1-406-755-1750. Ask for Ralph (blatant gratuitous advertising).

Getting ready to set the cab down on the frame. The four-speed truck tranny will get the grunt to the ground. Okay, starting to get really interesting...
Box and fenders off the donor truck. They ain't done, though, watch... Check it out...'58 fenders on a 70-something box. A very nice touch, I think. Haven't seen it before, which is why I like it...keepin' it real.
Some bangin' and hackin' and rubbin' will bring her back to factory-fresh. Remember the big dent in this door? Fresh infant pearl. Nice and straight but kinda blah, huh? Read on...
Fit and finish, that's where it's at... Can you see where this is going? Nice...

Can't forget to mention the tasty 383 stroker motor Chris is using for propellant. Stump-pullin' torque always comes in handy...

Lookin' real, ain't it? Quite a transition. What I like is the ability to see this end product in the lonesome old beater it's built out of. Very cool...

As you can see this truck isn't done yet. There's a lot more to come. We're all wanting to see what this thing is going to look like as a finished product so come back and check for updates.
