Folks, meet Mark Gibbs. Mark is a motormutt through and through. I've known him since we were both just a couple of runts but I didn't know that he could build rods like this one.

He's put together one of the coolest Model A coupes I have ever seen. He's done everything himself from building a jig for straightening and boxing the weary old A frame to motor stuff to body work, paint, wiring and everything in between.

It runs a '57 Chevy 283, a TH350 and I think he said an 8-inch Ford. I could be wrong 'cause we were fleeing down the four-lane at speed and I was just enjoying the feel, if you know...

I'm not going to go into too much detail...shucks, everything's pretty much hangin' out there in the breeze anyway...suffice it to say that I am jealous...of his car and the ambition it took to build it.
