RT's Rod Shop

This is where it happens, folks...but it looks like Ralph could use at least twice the square feet. He's got a zillion projects stuffed into this little shop. It's a gold-mine of hot rod stuff. Ralph pretty much drives the whole thing by himself and holds down a regular job to boot. I'd be curious to know just how many rods have backed out into the sunlight from this place after some kind of major surgery.

Here's a '31 Model A coupe that's one of Ralph's current projects. Un-chopped and fully-fendered, powered by a 351 Windsor EFI with an automatic, ProStreet rear, Mustang IFS and rack and a set of early ET mags. this car will have the traditional look with contemporary performance, efficiency and reliability. Viagra for the hot rodders' soul, I'm tellin' you...

Here's a classic...'50 Merc. A four door maybe but I'd trade body parts to own it. It's got a 302 EFI and automatic. All there and in remarkably good shape, really.

Now this one gives me the warm fuzzy's. A '50 shoebox with flathead power. High compression heads, three dueces and headers makes this thing the fastest car on the road, uh, fifty years ago. Don't care...I'd trade my new Ranger for it in a New York minute.

Back here is a '32 Ford something-or-other and a '40 Ford pickup with a Chevy small block. Both are iced and waiting for their turn.

Here we have a '34 Ford coupe with 2 inches whacked out of the roofline. Runs a 4.6L motor and trans out of a Lincoln with Mustang II in the front and a 9" disc brake rear. Shucks, if I had this project I'd throw mine away.

38 Chevy coupe just hangin' around waiting for some TLC...

Here's a jewel...'29 Ford Phaeton. Man, I'd kill for them fenders...

Model A frame with new horns and odds and ends of other stuff...
This might look like crap but it sports a Camaro front and rear and a Chevy V-8. It's a '50 with no wing windows, hey...super nice trucks have been made out of a lot less...
